From Yokohama, the journey moves north to Aomori, where contemporary architecture and regional culture unfold across a series of landmark sites from Aomori Contemporary Art Centre by Tadao Ando to Towada Art Center by Ryue Nishizawa. Between museum visits, travelers soak in the historic Sukayu Onsen, explore Hirosaki Park, and (depending on the organizer's announcement) witness the dynamic Towada Sakura Yabusame horseback archery festival.

Follow the peak of Japan's cherry blossom season on a meticulously timed route traveling north from Ibaraki through Tohoku. This journey immerses you in the country's most spectacular spring landscapes, from the cascading pink petals of the 1,000-year-old Miharu Takizakura and the spectacular Nicchu Line Weeping Cherry Path to the historic moats of Hirosaki Park. You will even witness the rare cultural tradition of Towada Sakura Yabusame, where female horseback archers gallop beneath a canopy of blooms, ensuring you experience Japan's finest sakura at the absolute height of their seasonal beauty.
